Take or offer a French pastry class!
For 3 years, I’ve been teaching pastry classes in German, French, and English,
for private individuals, groups and corporate events.
This page presents the types of classes I offer (private classes for individuals or companies, and group baking workshops), and lets you know what you can expect from a class with me.
Your private experience @laurahurterpatisserie
for pastry lovers, birthday & bachelorette parties, families and groups of friends
A private class means I either come to your place, or I find a location for you if you're planning a bigger group event.
You treat yourself (or your friend, relatives or partner) to an exclusive experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
You enjoy dedicated coaching from a professional and learn more than just a recipe.
AND… you feast on delicious pastries at last!
Target
that one skill you’ve always wanted to learn
Enjoy

The program for group classes is to be found in the Calendar section.
Please be aware that gift vouchers/cards sold on this website do not apply for group classes
What you can expect
This what I would like you to take along, whatever the type of class you sign up to.
“I was really impressed with the detailed written PDFs recipes. Often they are very short and you have to really remember what is being said in the class itself, but with the well written PDFs I feel safe to follow them.”
- Paulina, class participant
Discover a new recipe in a workshop AND bake it again on your own
I would like you to be prepared after the workshop to bake on your own the recipe we've learnt.
That’s why, in addition to the techniques I’ll show you, the recipe (copy) is as detailed as needed for you not to forget any step - whether it has to do with the ingredients or with the tools/preparation.
“Can I replace….?”
“where can I buy…”
“what’s the difference between…”
Tricky ingredients!
I have a passion for ingredients - learning where they come from, what’s their function in recipes… Whenever I can, I feed my classes with background information on ingredients and try to answer your questions.
I must however say in all honesty that this is a field - especially when it comes to their function in recipes - where a lot is still under research, and that my knowledge area covers mainly ingredients to be found in Europe, more specifically France and Germany.
Baking an elaborate recipe does not mean you need to stand the whole day in the kitchen
If you go for a class/recipe that involves a lot of steps, the recipe copy you will receive also provides guidance on how to schedule your preparation in a different timeframe as what we do during the class.
No reason to be feel concerned about fitting that baking project into your daily schedule anymore. Make it happen!
Feel unsure about how it works? Have a look at the FAQs! There’s also a couple of words about German & French…
