A French “goûter”
-
What is it?
Goûter in French means a snack you take in the afternoon. Most French people have fruits &/or a sweet treat.
This workshop encompasses various easy French recipes like for instance:
Madeleines
Financiers
Tuiles
Gianduja (nougat) sandwich cookies
Sablés diamants
-
What to expect?
We will define together the number of recipes to be carried out according to your timeframe & to the number of participants.
You'll learn recipes that you can easily bake again afterwards on your own.
They are all - save the gianduja sandwich cookies - one-step recipes, which means you make the dough in one step and then just need to bake. Some recipes have resting times.
They do not require specific tools let alone specific molds for madeleines for instance.
If we go for the gianduja cookies, you will learn how to make your own home-made gianduja aka “Nougat”.

This class is for you if...
If you would like to learn recipes you can afterwards bake often in your daily life.
The workshop is totally suited for kids aged 8+.
If you are celebrating a special occasion with a group, you might want to take the extended version with several recipes to come up with a nice buffet at the end.
If you’re a small group/family, you could choose the gianduja cookies only, as a specific “highlight” recipe for instance.
